- Brewerkz launches limited-edition can design for Brewerkz Bicentennial Ale to commemorate Singapore’s Bicentennial.
- Brewerkz intends to pay it forward by pledging all proceeds of the sale to charity.
Singapore, 2 August 2019 – The nation’s longest-running craft brewery, Brewerkz, celebrates Singapore’s Bicentennial by launching a limited-edition can design of their craft beer. The Brewerkz Bicentennial Ale, named after the 200th anniversary of Sir Stamford Raffles’ arrival in Singapore, launches today, just in time for the upcoming National Day celebrations.
As a home-grown brand, Brewerkz honours their roots with this brew in celebration of Singapore’s rich and storied history. To pay tribute to this journey of nation-building, Brewerkz also aims to give back to the people who have made Singapore what it is today. In acknowledgment of the struggles that many have faced in their personal journey, Brewerkz has committed to donating 100 per cent of the proceeds from this beer to TOUCH Community Services.
“Brewerkz started its journey 22 years ago. Just as how we have faced ups and downs in our business, so have the less fortunate in Singapore. The Brewerkz Bicentennial Ale is a way for us to give back and help the less fortunate along in their own journey”, says Tan Wee Han, owner and CEO ofBrewerkz.
The beer chosen for the Brewerkz Bicentennial Ale is a clean and crisp ale that boasts a straw to gold in colour with balanced and reserved flavours. The craft brew bears a floral hop character paired with a trace of low bitterness and leaves your tastebuds with a mild biscuit malt flavour.
The limited volume production Brewerkz Bicentennial Ale is available in cases of 24 cans, 6-packs as well as individually, and will launch today in all Brewerkz outlets and the Brewerkz e-store.
